Leap of faith

We began our adventures together as a married couple by very symbolically taking a leap into the future off a plane. What still amuses me when I look back on that day is how complacent both of us were right until the moment we were to jump off. I didn't have a problem with heights, I loved roller coasters, I was going to be just fine, I told myself right until the moment he made me stand and get ready to jump. Before I could turn around and tell him there was no way in hell he was going to convince me to jump, he had already jumped and everything was just a blur to me the first few seconds.

It was only when I ran out of air in my lungs that I realized that I had been yelling all the way and then for one moment, just one, I felt like I was suspended on the inside of a very beautiful snow globe. I would do it again despite the terror just for that one moment! The adrenalin rush was unbelievable and even today I am just a teeny bit proud that we were able to do that!
